Once you have your block of wood, you’ll need to find a piece of string. This can be any type of wood, but oak and birch work best. The first thing you’ll need is a block of wood. The shortbow is a simple weapon that can be created with just a few materials. It adds a new type of weapon to the game, the shortbow. #TINKERS CONSTRUCT BEST CROSSBOW MOD#Pretty neat, I'd say.Tinkers’ Construct is a mod created by mDiyo and Quickpic. The described crossbow with Enderium cast over Signalum bolts can oneshot the Wither and fires four times a second. For the crossbow I add Lapis, two quartz and use the rest of the modifiers for knockback so I can use it as a fallback melee weapon. #TINKERS CONSTRUCT BEST CROSSBOW FULL#Modifiers-wise, I usually go for full auto-repair on bolts except Bedrockium over Tearjerker, which I add a single auto-repair and use the rest for quartz since those bolts have a low base damage. You can also get Enderium cast over Tartarite tool rod for a bolt that has very high damage and weight, which'll make it penetrate quite a bit of armor. A good Illuminati crossbow with Flamestring and Enderium/Manasteel(for modspace)/Slimeleaf Bolts can two-hit the enderdragon in AS2 and probably one-hit if it is leveled and packed full of quartz as i killed the dragon right after getting it.Īssuming you're playing with ExtraTiC, Thermal Expansion, Thaumcraft and Metallurgy: Signalum Crossbow limb Thaumium Body Paper Binding Flamestring Bowstring This gives a crossbow with roughly 11 bolt speed with 0.25 draw speed (maximum) For bolts you got a few options since the crossbow itself is ridiculous: My personal favourite is Bedrockium cast over Tearjerker (onions from Pam's Harvestcraft) because it gets a weight of 0, meaning you always hit where you're looking if you use slime fletching. If you did it correctly it should onehit nearly everything vanilla. Modifiers: Crossbow: one Autorepair( or two if you got a paper body)>AS MUCH REDSTONE AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE>some lapis for more mobdrops Bolts: one Autorepair>Quartz till you run out of space Slime will get better accuracy while the leafs will yield a higher ammo count and a jagged modifier that will strengthen your bolts as your quiver runs dry. With extra TiC enderium would be your best bet for example.Steel can also be used. Tip: Manyllium or however it is writte or the most damaging metal you can find. For more armored mobs you can should use heavier ammo as it increases armor penetration but can normally be replaced by sheer number of bolts spewing from a max drawspeed crossbow. The first two will yield extra modspace for quartz while slime excels at high ammo count. Bolt(Core):For trash mobs use either thaumium, paper or slime here. If thaumium is not an option it can be replaced by paper for mod space fitting an extra autorepair or a cheap high durability material. Body: Thaumium is ideal for medium durability and added modifier that sadly can't really be stacked. I'd personally recommend paper or whatever carries a writable mod in your pack. Binding: The material won't interfere with durability so use paper or obsidian here for either a modifier or reinforced. If you by any chance choose a metal bow that has high drawtime an enchanted string may serve you heretic better in this place. String: This is gonna be kinda paradox but here you want to get the extra arrowspeed from Firery String (those nether spider drops) as it can't be modded for and the draw penality is neglegible on your already low drawtime as it is multiplicative. Try the following ideas: Bow(limb): Drawtime>Arrowspeed You want to cap the drawspeed while maintaining a decent arrow speed so high end metals like cobalt or manyl with abyssal drawtimes are superflous. This has been asked quite a few times already so the search function is your friend.
